Home Res-Q began with a passion for improving homes and grew into a Florida contracting company serving homeowners, property owners and businesses throughout the Tampa Bay area. Today, our work spans residential remodeling, additions, commercial renovations, exterior improvements and seamless gutters — with experienced ownership still directly involved in the work we do.

Our Story

It Started With Renovating Homes

Long before Home Res-Q became the company it is today, Nick was already working in residential construction and exterior renovation.

His experience in the industry began in 1990. Before starting Home Res-Q, Nick worked for and managed operations for a large exterior renovation company and performed installation work connected with Home Depot's professional installation services during the 1990s.

The idea for Home Res-Q started more personally. Nick began buying and renovating homes as investments. People saw the work he was doing and began asking him to help renovate and improve their own investment properties and personal homes.

As that work continued to grow, Home Res-Q was established in 2004.

What began with renovating homes has developed into a contracting company with specialized experience across residential remodeling, seamless gutters and exterior improvements, additions and commercial renovation.

Hands-on experience has been part of Home Res-Q from the beginning.

Nick and Amanda bring different backgrounds and areas of focus to Home Res-Q, with experience that overlaps across residential construction, remodeling, exterior improvements and project management. Together, their complementary expertise helps guide projects from the first conversation through completion and beyond.

Nick

Founder | Construction, Crew Management, Remodeling & Exterior Expertise

Nick's construction and exterior renovation experience dates back to 1990. His background spans residential construction, remodeling, exterior improvements and property maintenance.

After years in the industry and renovating investment properties of his own, growing demand for his work led to the establishment of Home Res-Q in 2004.

Today, Nick leads Home Res-Q's Seamless Gutter and Exterior division and remains directly involved in residential operations. His role includes oversight of scheduling, final project walk-throughs, and warranty and maintenance needs.

Experience & Focus

Amanda

Contractor | Construction, Design, Remodeling & Project Coordination

Amanda is a second-generation contractor who grew up around the construction industry in Hernando and Pasco counties.

She joined Home Res-Q in 2014 and has worked across nearly every stage of the remodeling process, including design, product selection, ordering, scheduling, project coordination, project management and warranty support.

Her project specialties include room additions, whole-home renovations, historic restorations and commercial build-outs.

Amanda also leads much of the product-selection side of Home Res-Q. She continually researches materials, finishes and new product offerings and helps clients coordinate selections that work together throughout their projects.

Residential remodeling encompasses projects such as kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home renovations, additions and other qualifying interior renovation projects. Amanda's work in design, product coordination and project management helps connect the many decisions and moving pieces involved in a larger remodeling project.

Experience That Hasn't Left the Jobsite

Growth has changed Home Res-Q over the years, but owner involvement remains part of how the company operates.

Nick continues to oversee key aspects of residential scheduling, final walk-throughs and warranty needs while leading the gutter and exterior division.

Amanda remains involved throughout the remodeling process, including design and product coordination, ordering, scheduling and project management.

For our clients, that means the experience behind Home Res-Q isn't limited to the company name — it's actively involved in the projects we take on.
